TAMCO’s CEO, Jack Thompson, founded the TAMCO Foundation in 2009. In an effort to fulfill a need in the local community the 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan charity was established to provide direct support to military veterans from Florida who have been severely wounded and disabled while serving our country in post 9/11 conflicts.
The TAMCO Foundation’s mission is to embrace these American heroes and their families throughout their recovery. As our heroes return home and work to rebuild their lives, they endure new challenges as a result of their injuries they have sustained.
In the last year alone, the foundation has been able to help 24 veterans and their families, by providing emergency financial relief which assisted in bills, groceries, and other necessary items for their children during tough times.
Also in recent years the Foundation has assisted over 300 wounded heroes and families the opportunity to participate in the Embracing Florida's Wounded Heroes (EFWH) programs. The EFWH programs include the annual Grand Slam Charity Fishing Tournament, Golf Tournaments, skeet shooting competitions, and many more engaging events.
